Meshtastic lets you message and share your location over open-source mesh radios, with no phone signal or internet needed. You pair the app with a Meshtastic device, then see nearby nodes and channels, send messages and view positions on a map.
Version 2.8 adds waypoint geofences with alerts, encrypted backup of your device keys, sharing contacts and channels through NFC tags, and air-quality readings from supported sensors. The app is built with Kotlin and runs on Android and as a Compose desktop client. The device firmware lives in a separate repository.
