Prometheus pulls metrics over HTTP from targets found through service discovery or static configuration; batch jobs can push through a gateway. Each server node is autonomous and needs no distributed storage. Run it from precompiled binaries or a Docker image. It is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation project.
