About

ZeroClaw is an AI assistant that runs on your own machine, with your own keys and workspace. It connects to model providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Ollama, and answers you on channels like Discord, Telegram, Matrix, email or a command line. It can act through tools including shell, browser and HTTP.

It ships as a single Rust binary that you configure and run. By default it works in a supervised mode: medium-risk actions need your approval and high-risk ones are blocked, with sandbox options such as Landlock, Bubblewrap, Seatbelt or Docker.

Highlights

  • Over 20 model providers, including local Ollama
  • Reaches you on 30+ channels
  • Supervised mode asks approval for risky actions

Who it's for

Good for tinkerers who want an AI assistant they host themselves instead of relying on a hosted service.
