Butterfly gives you an endless canvas instead of a fixed page. Put handwriting, typed text, Markdown, shapes, images and imported PDFs or SVGs wherever they make sense, and write with a stylus, touch or mouse. Most elements stay editable afterwards.
Files are stored on your device, and you can choose another data folder or connect WebDAV or Nextcloud. Big projects can be split into pages, folders, layers and named areas, and you can export to PDF, SVG, images or Butterfly files. Collaboration with encrypted sessions is experimental.
