About

Material Maker lets you create textures procedurally and paint directly on 3D models. Instead of editing a flat image, you describe a texture or a brush as a set of connected nodes.

The tool is built on the Godot Engine and uses its GraphEdit node for the interface. It is available on Linux through Flathub and on macOS with Homebrew, and a user manual and translation files are provided. The source is released under the MIT license.

Highlights

  • Textures described as connected nodes
  • Paint directly on 3D models
  • User manual and installable translations

Who it's for

Good for game artists and 3D hobbyists who want to build materials from nodes rather than from image files.

This description was written by our editors with automated assistance, not by the developer, and has not been reviewed yet.
