About

Listen to Spotify from your terminal with a text interface inspired by ncurses music players such as ncmpc. You can browse tracks, albums, playlists and genres, search, and control playback with Vim-style keybindings.

It is written in Rust on top of librespot, keeps a small resource footprint and runs on platforms without an official client, such as the BSDs. It needs a Spotify premium account. A configuration file lets you adjust it, and an IPC socket allows other programs to control it remotely.

Highlights

  • Browse tracks, albums, playlists and genres
  • Vim keybindings out of the box
  • IPC socket for remote control

Who it's for

Good for Spotify Premium listeners who live in the terminal and want a light player with keyboard control.
