About
Qingjian is a pinyin input method for macOS and Windows, with a Linux version for Fcitx5. You type as usual, pick candidates and write whole sentences, while a translation beside each candidate shows the word in English, Japanese or Spanish, or you can turn it off.
Pinyin conversion, dictionary lookups and the sentence model run on your device, and your usage stats stay local. It also supports abbreviated pinyin, typo correction, shuangpin and wubi. Cloud suggestions are optional and off by default. The macOS and Windows versions are still in testing.
