About

ipatool lets you search the App Store for apps on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, visionOS and macOS, and download their .ipa or macOS .pkg packages from the terminal. You sign in with an Apple Account already set up for the App Store.

It runs on macOS, Linux and Windows. By default it asks questions interactively, and a non-interactive flag makes it suitable for automated environments. It can also start a stdio server for MCP clients after you log in with the auth command. It is written in Go and can be installed with Homebrew.

Highlights

  • Searches the App Store from the command line
  • Downloads .ipa and macOS .pkg packages
  • Non-interactive mode for automated environments

Who it's for
