About

Run several coding agents side by side in one terminal window and see which are working, blocked or idle. Close the client or lose your SSH connection and the terminals keep running in a background server, ready to reattach.

herdr works with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and opencode without wrapping them. You can use tmux-style prefix keys or the mouse, and group local and saved SSH machines in one list. Agents can also drive herdr through its CLI and socket API. It ships as a single Rust binary.

Highlights

  • Terminals keep running after you detach
  • Panes marked working, blocked or idle
  • Local and SSH machines in one window

Who it's for

Good for developers who juggle several coding agents and want them to survive a dropped SSH session.
